Become A Coach

ESA runs equestrian coaching courses under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS). The courses begin at Introductory level which is aimed at coaches who want to specialise in coaching beginners, and go to Level 3 which is the highest standard of accreditation and is for coaches who work in the high performance areas and/or coach elite riders.  

At present Equestrian Australia offers coach accreditation in:

  • General
  • Dressage
  • Eventing
  • Jumping
  • Vaulting
  • Carriage Driving

The theory components of EA coach training are delivered in a flexible home-study manner using comprehensive workbooks and recommended reading. Practical study may be with done with coaches, Coach Educators or other industry experts. Assessments for theory and practical are performed by EA Coach Educators either in a formal workshop setting or in a one-on-one setting using the prescribed activity slips in each EA workbook.
