Welcome to the Equestrian South Australia Interschool Committee pages.

*Bonnetts SA Team are proud to have won the Interschool National Championship Team Trophy 2010 & 2011* 

 

Interschool aims to develop the individual through the discipline of equestrian sport.  To achieve this aim the four main objectives of Interschool are:

  • To promote equitation education and equestrian sport in school programs across South Australia;

  • To provide a competition structure that will give opportunities for South Australian Interschool riders a platform to progress from grass roots level to a National level with the aim of developing excellence in equestrian sport;

  • To encourage the development of discipline, character, sportsmanship, teamwork and a sense of achievement in Interschool riders in South Australia; and

  • To reward and educate riders in horsemanship and horse management with the aim of creating a competitive sporting environment that places the welfare of the horse at the fore.

2013 Interschool SA Handbook- ALL Interschool participants (riders, parents, schools, supporters) are encouraged to read this document. The handbook provides information about school competitions, state championships, Australian championships, SA State Interschool Team, membership requirements and specific discipline requirements. An electronic copy is available at the link below, or hard copies are available for purchase from the ESA office for $30.

2013 INTERSCHOOL CALENDAR

 

  • TRINITY COLLEGE INTERSCHOOL GYMKHANA- Saturday March 9, 2013 see program below

 

  • SA INTERSCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS & ENCOURAGE GYMKHANA 20th - 21st APRIL 2013 see program below. 

       The entry form is available via Nominate: https://www.nominate.com.au/equest/event.asp?event=2671&eventlist=5 Entries close on the 8th of April 

To be eligible to compete in this event, riders must be registered as junior members with ESA. For riders who are not already registered junior members of ESA, please note that riders who register as new ESA Members or have not been an ESA member for two or more years are eligible for a half price membership. Furthermore, joint membership with Pony Club is also available for riders who are current Pony Club members. Joint PC and EA membership results in a $50 rebate on EA membership. Some riders may be eligible for both half price ESA membership and the $50 joint Pony Club membership rebate.

  •  INTERSCHOOL EVENTING RIDERS

Interschool Eventing Riders must complete their eventing registration before the Cross Country phase of the first competition that they wish to have considered for selection of the current year for the Interschool Nationals. The form is here on the web site.
