Coach and Trainee Registration and Reaccreditation 2012 - 2013

Kimberly Sussmilch, Friday, 26 October 2012

EA is still accepting coaching reaccreditation and renewals. Coaches who have yet to complete and return their forms are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you our Coaches for being with us throughout the 2011-2012 period. We hope that you have had a good year further developing your craft, regardless of whether you are an experienced coach or trainee.

Due to the large number of applications that we receive please allow at least two weeks for your accreditation to be processed and your new card to be posted to you.

Please note: there has been an addition to the Prohibited Person’s Declaration that must be signed. The first point now asks you to ensure you are complying with your State legislation regarding working with children and any checks or credentials you require.

We also wish to address the minor increase to the insurance premium and coach registration fee. The insurance program is claims rated and an increase in the number of insurance claims for the 2011-2012 period has raised insurance premiums across the organisation. The 2012-2013 coaching insurance premium is still amongst the lowest it has been in the last seven years. We urge you to encourage any non-members you coach to become a member of EA as this will limit liability claims due to accident and injury. By pupils becoming members they are then covered by their own 24/7 Personal Accident and Liability Insurance. Please check with your State Branch as to the cost of basic EA membership that includes insurance. The 2011-2012 CPI rate of 2.35% has been applied to the coach registration component which has seen the annual fee increase by only $5.

We hope in the next 12 months you will continue to develop your pupils’ skills as well as your own. We look forward to supporting you in this endeavour.

Congratulations to the winners of the 5 free registration fees:
