ANNUAL AWARDS
ESA are pleased to honour those who have contributed to the promotion and support of equestrian sports in SA. Each year, we call for people to nominate those they think have contributed significantly to benefit equestrian sports in state. Nominations close 20 September each year and awards are announced at the Annual Horseman's Night of the Year, held in the following January. The link below has a form you can use to give sufficient details of your nominee so that the Branch Committee can make an ifnormed decision.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Senior – (18 years & over)
This category allows the member to compete in any discipline, (Eventing, Dressage, Jumping, Show Horse, Endurance and Carriage Driving) in Official or Graded competitions, subject to having an appropriate Performance Card and/or qualifications, when applicable. You may register horses and own/part own horses that compete in any discipline. Members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter and are afforded full voting rights. Significant 24/7 Personal Accident Insurance cover for members is also provided.
Show Horse â€Â (18 years & over)
This category is for people that compete in Show Horse classes only. You may register horses and own/part own horses that compete in any discipline (but the member can ONLY compete in Show Horse classes). Members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter and are afforded full voting rights. 24/7 Personal Accident Insurance cover for members is also provided.
Corporate Membership
This membership type is for those wishing to register horses in their Company name. Personal Accident Insurance is NOT offered. With this membership you will receive the quarterly newsletter. A copy of your registered business name must be provided at time of application, (Certificate of Incorporation).
Junior â€Â (to 18 years of age)
This category covers all disciplines, (as for Senior members but is restricted by age). Members remain a junior up to the end of the financial year in which they turn 18. (i.e. If you turn 18 on or before 30 June you must join as a Senior from 1 July that year). This membership enables you to register horses and part own horses that compete in any discipline. Members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter but are not afforded voting rights. 24/7 Personal Accident Insurance cover for members is also provided.
Associate / Horse Owners â€Â (18 years & over)
This is for members who compete in training events only, (Associate, Preliminary or Introductory). This membership now entitles you to register horses, part own horses and hold performance cards where the horse may compete at Official/Graded competitions but will not be ridden by you. Associate members are not permitted to compete in official classes. Members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter. 24/7 insurance cover for members is also provided.
Recreational â€Â Senior â€Â (18 year & over)

Recreational â€Â Junior â€Â ( 3â€Â 18 years)
With this popular membership you receive 24/7 Personal Accident Insurance and the newsletter but no voting rights. This is a popular category for people training with NCAS Coaches and noncompetitive riders. This membership does not entitle you to register horses, own/part own horses, hold performance cards or compete. You may also not hold an Official qualification, such as Dressage Judge, Jumping Course Designer etc. Significant Personal Accident Insurance cover for members is also provided.
Officials
This is for current Judges, TD’s, FEI Stewards, Course Designers etc. This membership covers all sports covered by the EFA. This membership entitles you to register horses, part own horses and hold performance cards. Official members are NOT permitted to compete in official classes with this membership type. Members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter and are afforded full voting rights.
DAY MEMBERSHIP NO LONGER OFFERED
HALF YEAR MEMBERSHIP JANUARY - JUNE 2013

- A new EA member
- Have not been a member of EA for 2 years or more
