EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

To become a member of the Board of Directors for Equestrian SA Incorporated (ESA).

Equestrian South Australia (ESA) is affiliated with the national controlling bodies for equestrian sport, Equestrian Australia (EA) and the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI).   ESA is affiliated with the Australian Olympic Committee.

ESA is the state sporting body responsible for the development, promotion and governance of equestrian sport throughout South Australia and has successfully operated as the peak state body for equestrian sport for over 50 years.

The main functions of ESA are to provide a structured framework for equestrian competitions and training, encourage and promote equestrian sport, increase participation levels and administer coach and officials education. The State branch has a small core of professional support and this core is supported by a large number of volunteers who are the lifeblood of equestrian sports in SA.

Applicants should have an understanding, be committed to a good governance model, as well as have experience and skills in community services, business development or entrepreneurial innovation. Board meetings are held monthly, or as required.

People interested in applying for the positions will undergo a selection process.  Applicants with accounting, legal, marketing and strategic management experience will be considered favourably.  Further information is available by contacting the Chairperson, Peter Graham, on 0412 972 040.
