ESA Board Members Welcome

The board would like to thank everyone for their attendance at our AGM last week.

Going forward we will explore alternative attendance methods for regional members-which may be virtual.

Please make welcome our newly elected ESA Board Chairperson – Naomi Mashford and Wendy Schaeffer (Vice Chair)

We welcome our returning board member Karin Edwards, and new members Geoff Pannell and Nicole Kelly. Geoff has an extensive background in coaching, and Nicole has a background in law. Welcome!

Short Bio for Geoff and Nicole.

Geoff Pannell

As a long term member of the EA I am pleased to serve the organization in the capacity of Director. I have been an equestrian competitor  for more than 40 years, Coaching since the early 80's ,gaining a Level 1 Coach certificate in 1992. I have been on numerous committees over the years , Tintinara Polocrosse club, ESA Coaching Council ,Adelaide Horse Trials, SA Horse Trials and The Barossa Light Horse. So I am familiar with committee processes and protocols. I have run a successful riding school on the South Coast for many years and am still competing regularly in Show jumping . I hope I can bring my experience to the benefit of ESA in the years to come.

Nicole Kelly

I have been practicing law for over 21 years predominantly in regional South Australia. I now work as a sole practitioner in Strathalbyn and Victor Harbor offices, offering legal advice on a range of matters but predominantly in the areas of Family Law and Wills and Estates.

My career in law has equipped me with a tough skin and the ability to resolve complex disputes in a personable and efficient manner. I have had some past Board experience having been a member of the Legal Practitioner's Conduct Board (as it then was) for 3 years and holding the position of President of the John Wesley Tennis Club. I have taken a keen interest in equestrian pursuits but now I take a back seat to my daughter's ambitions, preferring the odd trail ride when time permits.

I am looking forward to being actively involved in and contributing to the promotion of equestrian sport in South Australia.
