JUMPING SA SQUADS - JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

About the Junior Development Squad: The Junior Development Squad is a squad for riders aged up to 17 years old. It is expected the riders of this squad will develop over a 12-month period to compete in Fosters Cup competitions. Riders in the year of their 18th birthday are ineligible to be added to the squad.

JDS members must demonstrate a commitment to their riding development and to Jumping in SA. In addition, JDS members are expected to assist at Jumping SA events, including the State Jumping Championships and may be called upon at other events to assist course designers and officials. JDS riders are to make themselves available for Squad development opportunities.

Junior Development Squad members will be required to report their performances to the Selectors every 6 months or they may be removed from the Squad.

Members of the JDS must be jumping at a minimum of 1.05m consistently (2 or more) with 4 faults or less in official competitions. Performances listed must be from classes of 1.05m or above at official events.
