ANZAC Day - Australian Light Horse Memorial Service

The Australian Light Horse Memorial Service will be conducted at the memorial site in Adelaide on April 25th commencing at 7:50am with the Catafalque marching on, the actual proceedings starting at 8:00am

Due to the COVID restrictions of public gatherings I offer the following directions that need to be followed for the service attendance.  Those members of your association and affiliate organisations can attend with either a ‘ticket’ (no $ cost) per trybooking site and enter the enclosed area of the memorial site and QR phone scan attendance OR write in details required on the clipboard sheet adjacent to the QR scan symbol.

All Equestrian disciplines members are welcome to attend as in previous years, pre COVID.  The following is from our SAMRA secretary in accordance to the COVID requirements.

ALH Memorial Service

“All SAMRA members are invited to attend the Australian Light Horse Remembrance Service at 0800 h on ANZAC Day at the LH Memorial at the corner of North and East terraces. 3rd/9th LH (SAMR) will be providing the Catafalque Party, this year will be a ticketed event and will be restricted to around 100 people because of COVID restrictions. Book your tickets via this link  https://www.trybooking.com/BPTQL.

You must bring your ticket with you to show the crowd controllers at the access points, and you will also be required to scan a QR code or write down your name and mobile number prior to entry. You will be required to maintain a 1.5 metre physical distance from other attendees who are not members of your household. It is absolutely critical that you do not attend if you are feeling unwell.”

The figure of 100 people is “around” only, granted some flexibility accordingly.
