Nominations for the 2026 Lindy Wright Awards are NOW OPEN!

The Committee of the Lindy Wright Memorial Foundation awards this prize annually to a current or past dressage rider who contributes to the sport in South Australia through volunteering, organizing, committee work, judging, or other services.

 

The ideal candidate is a quiet achiever who strives for excellence and demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship, horsemanship, and inspiration while sharing knowledge and serving as a role model.

 

Nominations can be made by individuals, clubs, or committees and will be kept confidential. The LWMF Committee's decision is final.

 

Lindy was a remarkable rider and horsewoman who won multiple state and national dressage titles, represented South Australia, and inspired many with her genuineness, talent, and focus before losing her battle with leukemia on October 16, 2009.

 

Presented since 2010, the award was previously given at the Adelaide Hills Dressage Club Spring Festival and will be presented at the 'Celebration of Dressage' event in July from 2025.
