Upcoming Sports Trainer Courses

Released dates for Level 1 Sports Trainer Courses to provide clubs with extra opportunities to get their trainers signed up and officially accredited. Our next course will be held on the 27th of April 2021. Registrations for this course are now open here: https://www.sasma.com.au/SportsTrainers/CourseInformation/Level1SportsTrainer.aspx

The Level 1 Sports Trainer Course involved 3 components which can be completed in just 1 week:

  1.        Short Online Emergency Responder Course (completed prior to the webinar)
  2.        Live webinar held on Zoom (3.5 hours)
  3.        In person Practical Assessment day (3 hours)

Please see below the dates for the next round of Level 1 Sports Trainer Courses in 2021:

Level 1 Webinar Dates:

  • Tuesday 27th April, 5:30pm-9pm
  • Tuesday 18th May, 5:30pm-9pm
  • Tuesday 22nd June, 5:30pm-9pm
  • Monday 26th July, 5:30pm-9pm

Practical Assessment Day Dates:
Venue: SASMA Office - 27 Valetta Rd, Kidman Park, 5025
Regional assessment days will be made available based on location of webinar attendees

  • Sunday 2nd May, 9am-12pm
  • Sunday 23rd May, 9am-12pm
  • Sunday 27th June, 9am-12pm
  • Sunday 31st July, 9am-12pm

Level 2 Sports Trainers Course

SASMA is also running a Level 2 Sports Trainers Course on the 2nd and 30th of May, 2021 in Adelaide. This is a great opportunity for Level 1 Sports Trainers to further develop their assessment and management skills, while also learning advanced taping and spinal management techniques. Regional Level 2 Courses will also be held in Port Lincoln, Lock, Mt Gambier and Naracoorte throughout May-August. Please note places in the Level 2 Courses are limited.
