2025 Gillian Rolton Youth Award - Applications Now Open!

Calling all Young Eventers for the 2025 Gillian Rolton Youth Award

Are you under 21 years of age and would like the opportunity to be one of 10 riders to attend a FREE two day clinic with a chance to WIN the 2025 Gillian Rolton Youth Award for Eventing?

The clinic will be held on Saturday & Sunday, 29-30 November at Hallmark Farm in Woodside.

Applications close Friday 10th October!! No exceptions!

 

This award is given in memory of Gillian Rolton, a double gold medal winning Olympian, who was such a great ambassador for our sport, and a leading figure in the development of the 5* Adelaide Equestrian Festival.

The aim of the Youth Development Award is to identify committed, eager and motivated young riders in the sport of eventing, and support the development of communication skills, teamwork, resilience and coachability.

The award weekend will take place on 29-30 November at Hallmark Farm where participants will receive coaching in all three phases from Sam Lyle. Sam is a very experienced eventing rider at both national and international level and a popular coach. 

Riders must attend for the two full days. Family members are welcome as spectators.

The award is aimed at athletes aged up to and including 21 years (as of 31st December 2025).

The winner will receive $500, one free entry into each South Australian National Horse Trials in 2026, and more.

One application per rider. All applications will be considered, and ten riders and three reserves will be notified promptly of their selection to attend the clinic. The winner will be selected over the weekend.
