South Australians celebrated by Equestrian Australia during National Volunteer Week

Congratulations and thank you to the amazing volunteers across South Australia who give their time, energy and passion to equestrian sport!

Whether they’re organising events, stewarding arenas, supporting riders, officiating competitions or helping clubs thrive, volunteers make an incredible difference in every corner of our community.

Your commitment helps create safe, welcoming and successful experiences for everyone involved in our sport - and we thank you for it.

Laura Harris - South Australian Dressage Association

Laura is a passionate volunteer who is dedicated co supporting her club at every competition, every month. Laura also competes at all of the clubs competitions and goes above and beyond to put in effort to help out where needed.

Rodney Angel & Viv McClean - Strath SJ Club & Strath Polo & Recreation Grounds

Rodney and Viv have been involved with horses their whole lives, and have been on the club committee for many years. Recently, they have taken on the care and maintenance of the club's home grounds, refurbishing around 70 stables on the grounds and contributing to the purchase of the clubs water licence and all solar panels on the clubrooms, all from their own funds.
Their work has resulted in a fabulous riding area, and a great facility for local clubs and outside hirers. They have always gone above and beyond usual volunteer work, and their club is so thankful for their energy and generosity.

Naomi Oudshoorn - South Australian Dressage Association

Naomi is consistently coming forward to help her club in anyway she can. Completely of her own initiative, Naomi has helped tremendously with the canteen, securing sponsorship, and creating prizes and raffles.
Naomi's daughter, Brianna, also is a riding member of the club and assists her mother supporting the club in anyway that she can.
