National Volunteer Week 2026
The 18th – 24th May is National Volunteer Week. This year's theme is "Your Year to Volunteer"; honouring the contributions of volunteers and inviting people across Australia to make 2026 a year of meaningful involvement, in ways that work for them.
This year is a moment to thank those who already give their time and to invite others to discover how volunteering can create connection, purpose, and lasting positive change!
Volunteers make up a huge aspect of the Sport of Equestrian, without them we wouldn't be able to run! From training days, clinics and unofficial shows through to the largest of competitions, volunteers make up the majority of organisers and helpers involved.
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to spotlight the vital role volunteers play in our community and to extend a warm invitation to those not yet volunteering to give it a go.
We're grateful to everyone who has generously contributed their time, skills, and passion to our sport.
As an added bonus, if you volunteer within the Mt Barker District, Adelaide Hills or Alexandrina Councils, free movie tickets are available to be used at one of two participating cinemas in the area!
