Eventing SA Return to Sport

Covid-19 and the news regarding EA national have left many members wondering about the state of eventing in SA for the rest of 2020.

Members should be aware that ESA is NOT tied financially to the national body, which is good news. The Eventing Discipline Committee has been working hard to provide its members with new opportunities (e.g Future Stars Training Squad) as well as fund raise to support the future of the sport in our State.

ESA has been notified that further easing of restrictions in early July, will mean that 500 can attend sporting competitions, as long as the 1 person per 4 sqm regulation can still be met.

The safety of members and their families will take precedence. There will be protocols for physical distancing, parking, camping, food etc.  All events and participants must abide by these guidelines.  The eventing discipline committee is working together with event organising committees in planning the return to training and competition.

Monarto and Naracoorte have confirmed their intent to run.

There are possibly some surprises on the horizon.

Get your horses going for early Spring!
