Important Information for FEI Riders

Please note that there has been a change implemented by the FEI in regards to riders FEI entries into the FEI Entry System which is effective immediately.

As of today, all newly issued FEI Passports and FEI Recognition Cards will require scans/files of the necessary documents/pages to be uploaded on the FEI Database before the horse in question can be entered for a FEI event. The uploading of these scans into the FEI database is done by Equestrian Australia and only in the office.

If the FEI is not satisfied with the scans or pages in the passport are not completed correctly, the FEI will reject the documentation and the horse will be blocked from the entry system and the horse will now be allowed to compete until the “rejected” documents are amended.

Therefore this means that a newly issued passport/recognition card must be completed and uploaded into the system before the horse can enter an FEI event. So when riders are purchasing a new FEI passport/recognition card they must allow enough time for this process to be completed before the entry is to be made. Furthermore it is imperative that the FEI Passport/recognition card is completed correctly in order for the FEI to accept the document and allow the entry.

This email notification has been sent to all National Squad riders but please can we ask that you forward this information onto you state based riders for their information and any personnel when fielding these enquiries.
