Email Phishing Awareness

Please be aware that there are multiple phishing emails out there at the moment including several recently impersonating ESA Office Staff.

What is Phishing?

Phishing is a form of cybercrime that uses social engineering techniques to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, or other types of credentials.

Make sure you are on “Alert” and use caution when receiving emails. You should verify every email received before you open, click on a link, or reply. Some emails can have malice or illegal intentions and this is a global issue.

ESA cannot stop people from around the world sending phishing emails, or spoofed emails from an @equestriansa.com.au email address. We try our best to shut them down as soon as possible once we become aware, but for anything external such as an email coming from Gmail, Outlook, etc., we are constrained in our actions as these email addresses are not in our control.

Our goal here is simply to warn you that there is a risk in opening emails and suggest you use caution!
